“Thoroughly polished playing, a full range of expressive gestures, and a homogeneity of sound and balance rarely found in quartet ensembles” (during Osaka International Chamber Music Competition). Multi-award winning Moser String Quartet has performed in many countries such as Switzerland, Germany, France, Italy, Spain, Hungary, the Netherlands, United Kingdom, Canada and Japan.

After four years since their path started, Moser Quartet has been awarded 1st Prize in the International Competition Gran Premi Musical Lauredià (Andorra), 2nd Prize in the Orpheus Swiss Chamber Music Competition (Switzerland) and the Special Award “Ambassador Ensemble of the Osaka International Chamber Music Competition 2023” (Japan). Moreover, Moser Quartet has appeared in numerous international festivals such as Trame Sonore CMF, Festival de La Chaise-Dieu, MonteLeón ICMF, Ernen Musikdorf Festival and L’Orangerie Sonore.

As a Swiss-based ensemble, Moser Quartet is very enthusiastic about performing contemporary pieces especially by Swiss composers, which has led them to win the 3rd Prize in the Concours Nicati (Switzerland). They also made their debut at Stadtcasino Basel performing Dieter Ammann’s “Distanzenquartett” and premiered Verena Weinmann’s “We are ______.”, composed for Moser Quartet, in the Swiss Chamber Music Festival.
Moser Quartet is currently mentored by Silvia Simionescu and Anna Gebert at the Hochschule für Musik, Basel. They have also been under the tutelage of renowned musicians including Cuarteto Casals, Rainer Schmidt, Quatuor Ébène, Anton Kernjak, Alban Berg Quartett, Quatuor Modigliani, Heime Müller, Eberhard Feltz, Geneviève Strosser and Johannes Meissl at various international organizations such as IMS Prussia Cove, MISQA, ICMC Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland and ECMA.

For the 2024-25 season, the Moser String Quartet will be in residence at ProQuartet – Centre Européen de Musique de Chambre. They will also participate in the Elite Program at the École Normale de Musique de Paris and will continue being part of the MERITA Platform.
