Meraki Quartet’s at Tous en sons! Festival in Marseille

Concerts | December 30, 2024

On Sunday, December 15, 2024, the Meraki Quartet had the privilege of performing its first concert as part of the MERITA Platform with ProQuartet, during the prestigious Tous en Sons! Festival de Musique Jeunesse in Marseille, France.

Thanks to the support of the Festival, Pic Telemaque, and ProQuartet, they were given the opportunity to perform but also to benefit from an entire week of artistic residency.

Here is their feedback in describing the experience, reflecting how MERITA is successfully achieving its goal of creating meaningful connections, and providing professional and tangible support to young musicians.

“It’s fantastic that MERITA gives us time and space to make projects like this. Otherwise this would not be possible”, said Sarah and Jeroen right before the concert.

“Throughout this residency, we had the chance to work again with our exceptional mentors,Violaine Founier and Francesca Bonato. Their guidance played a crucial role in helping us refine our project and elevate it to new artistic heights. It was also a wonderful opportunity to feel truly at home in the concert hall where we performed.

In addition to the residency and concert, we were able to explore the vibrant city of Marseille. We immersed ourselves in its beauty, its unique charm, and had the chance to meet many wonderful people along the way.

We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone involved in making this experience possible: the organizers of the Tous en Sons!, ProQuartet, MERITA, Pic Telemaque, our cameraman Gabriele Alessandrini, the best host Élodie Rama and, of course, our brilliant mentors, Violaine and Francesca. This unforgettable journey has inspired us to keep pushing the boundaries of our music and to continue growing as artists.
