Beethoven 131
A life through music
The project will focus on Beethoven's String Quartet Op. 131. 131, one of his last completed works, famous for its profound impact on the world of music. Schubert, on his deathbed, famously asked to hear it, emphasising its significance in musical composition. With its 7 movements, each portraying different aspects of life, the quartet will alternate readings and projections of Beethoven's letters with anecdotes from his life, reflecting the mood and character of each movement.
